--Yonekichi Tanaka--

\"The Infinity of Space As Is\"
A world that multiplies in a mirror whose surface is studded with multiple holes,
large and small, that endlessly reflects the viewer and backdrop. “The Infinity of
Space As Is” is a work that expresses the “cosmos”, the lifetime theme of sculptor,
Yonekichi TANAKA. His experience as a youth in the production of a locomotive
and a submersible in a munitions factory, and his encounter with Braille’s
functionality for expressing words with just six dots were major influences on
TANAKA’s style. In this work he uses the large and small holes to express the
functionality of Braille and expresses the “cosmos” produced in the new space that
contains all the things reflected in the Stainless steel mirror. TANAKA says that
in his work, he feels that “permanent time” exists and that there is a spatial
expanse and a sense of airspace that connects to the cosmos. Yonekichi
TANAKA’s career spans a period of over 70 years in which he remains particular
about each instance that he sublimely expresses in his work. Just take a look. We
believe that you will truly enjoy a look into TANAKA’s world.

\"Noise and revision or a trace of convergence\"
A line has a beginning and an end.
What\'s more, the beginning is connected to the end.
Chaotically, the meaningless lines overlap as each have their own
directionality, converging to create a form.
The end is connected to the beginning.
Noise and revision or a trace of convergence.
Potential and expanse, an unfinished something that helps you feel \"what
is about to come\" in terms of time. According to gintatsu, the subject is
attracted through drawing, sketching and study. The goal is to create a
work that inherently exists with a dignified incompleteness that pursues
shape with lines that are layered day by day, influenced by the sketches of
great pioneers and the line and space prior to completion.
